The Power of Decision

The power of Decision

Decision always change direction

Your choice can lift you up or bring you down
Over the period of time, men have made decisions that change the course of history

May you make right decisions in the name of Jesus

1 Samuel 13:5-12
5 And the Philistines gathered themselves together to fight with Israel, thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and people as the sand which[ is] on the sea shore in multitude: and they came up, and pitched in Michmash, eastward from Bethaven. 6 When the men of Israel saw that they were in a strait,( for the people were distressed,) then the people did hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in high places, and in pits. 7 And[ some of] the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he[ was] yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling. 8 And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel[ had appointed]: but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him. 9 And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering. 10 And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him. 11 And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and[ that] thou camest not within the days appointed, and[ that] the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash; 12 Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the Lord: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering.

In all that you do, always pray that Jehovah will direct your steps

The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
Psalms 37:23-25
23 A man's goings are established of Jehovah; And he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For Jehovah upholdeth him with his hand. 25 I have been young, and now am old; Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his seed begging bread.
When you are making an important decision make sure

You wait upon the Lord
Psalms 145:15
15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.

Isaiah 40:31
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew[ their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary;[ and] they shall walk, and not faint.

Beware of people pressure
King Saul fell into this error and that was the beginning of his downfall

1 Samuel 13:11-14
11 And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and[ that] thou camest not within the days appointed, and[ that] the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash; 12 Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the Lord: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering. 13 And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the Lord thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever. 14 But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the Lord hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him[ to be] captain over his people, because thou hast not kept[ that] which the LORD commanded thee.

Gods will must be done Gods way

Wait for God and don't rush ahead of him

Other things may be in place , make sure the timing is right
God is never too late

Revelation 3:8
8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

Often times you will sense a burden not to proceed and in the physical everything is okay, you are not alone. Apostle Paul went through the same thing

Acts 16:7
7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.

It is like going on a journey, though you are in a hurry and pressing your accelerator but you need the brake too to control the car.

This principle is called restraint and released principle...you need to know how to wait upon the Lord

God is never too late.
