STRENGTH TO BUILD

FAITH FOR SUPERNATURAL STRENGTH TO BUILD

2Kings 3:11-27
Always make sure you work with the presence of God. There are people on the surface of the earth not aware that the heavens have been shut against them. It was the presence of Jehoshaphat; the King of Judah in that story in 2 Kings 3:11-27 that caught the attention of Elisha, otherwise he was prepared not to respond to the King of Israel. It was Jehoshaphat also, being a man of God who suggested that a prophet be sought before they take action. Before you do anything from today, always wait until you hear from the Lord.

If you read further to verse 27, another King in distress looked for a way out of his siege and he did not see the way out until he decided to sacrifice his only Son. Your seed can break your siege. I am talking today about the strength to build. What are you building or want to build? Your life, destiny, family, or a physical building; you need the almighty God. Some offering will get heaven to reply you. In Haggai 1:5-11, the bible says some storms come into our lives because we abandoned God’s building.

If the heavens is shut against a man, the man is finished, if a man is fighting a fellow man, his pastor might intervene, if a man his fighting even his pastor, God may intervene, but if a man is fighting God, who will intervene for him? God said you have ignored him for too long. It is time to return to Him.

The late Oral Roberts was heading to hell expressly. He was sick with Tuberculosis, at a time when there was no cure for the deadly disease. His father; a priest in those days refused to allow him die knowing that he would likely end up in hell. His father then knelt down by his death bed and was praying earnestly. At this time, Oral Roberts saw Jesus enter the room, saw the face of his father change to that of Jesus and instantly gave his life to Christ. From then on, he rose to become one of the greatest evangelists that ever lived.

Be it unto you according to your faith. You say; “I can’t do it”, “things are hard” etc., forgetting that the power of life and death is in your tongue. When I was going to get my first Mortgage, I was heavily discouraged by friends telling me this will be the end of me. I did not believe them, I went ahead and today my story is different. Pray that the Lord raise your feint heart and sleepy spirit. How can sickness arrest you when your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost? However, if you don’t know your rights, you will be oppressed.

There are seasons, when it seems there is a lid on your head keeping you down. You then need the attention of heaven. Get the attention of heaven, do something that will make God decide it is time to bless you. Look at a boy somewhere struggling to get education and pay their school fees, look for a church in Africa struggling to build and sort them out; do something new and life changing.

When you offend or sin against God, be like David, don’t give excuses. Repent sincerely. David, unlike Saul did not give excuses. God also knows that David do not joke with matters of God, hence when God was angry with David for double sins of adultery and murder, God eventually consulted David on the kind of punishment he would like. Talk about favour. David has credit with God.

Build your own credit. I don’t know how much you have left, can your act of generosity extend your season? When; last did you visit the hospital and make someone’s day? When last did you pay the bus fare of someone? When last did you deliberately drop money on the floor as you walk on the street for the needy? When last did you embrace a homeless man?

There are those who are looking for miracles and there are yet another group called miracle workers. Which group will you belong. Receive strength to build something that will outlast you.
